Published in The Vet Record: Research on Veterinary Behavioural Medicine in Malta
I’m thrilled to announce the publication of my peer-reviewed research article in The Veterinary Record (UK):
“A qualitative interview study exploring Maltese veterinarians’ practice of behavioural medicine.”
This study takes a closer look at the availability of behavioural services in Malta, as well as the practical and systemic challenges faced by those working in the field. Through in-depth interviews with Maltese veterinarians, the research sheds light on the gaps, barriers, and opportunities for strengthening behavioural support in Malta.
Understanding these dynamics is essential for meaningful change — not only in Malta, but in similar contexts worldwide where behavioural services remain under-resourced or misunderstood.
I truly hope that this study provides a foundation for positive change and policy discussion.
